After nearly 45 years, historic Columbus business sold to new owner

One of the country’s oldest all-children’s bookstores has a new owner.

Bryan Loar, who joined the Cover to Cover team as general manager in 2019, is now the long-standing Columbus storefront’s new owner.

“I’m honored to have been a part of the legacy of this amazing bookstore that has connected so many young readers to the joy of reading. I am so happy that Cover to Cover will go forward and thrive with Bryan,” former Cover to Cover owner Melia Wolf said in a press release. “There’s no one more qualified, knowledgeable and passionate to assure Cover to Cover’s continued success.”

The store is located at 2116 Arlington Ave.

Wolf bought the store from its founder and original owner, Sally Oddi, in 2017. She then reopened the store, which was originally located in Clintonville, in 2018.
