This Ohio city boasts one of the country’s best sushi spots, according to new Yelp list

Most of us don’t immediately think of the Buckeye State as a prime location for sushi, and even then, Toledo is not likely the first Ohio city that comes to mind when one thinks of seafood.

According to a new list from Yelp, however, a Toledo eatery is one of the best spots for sushi in the country.

Earlier this month, Yelp published a list of the top 100 spots for sushi’s and Toledo’s Kengo Sushi & Yakitori made the cut. It’s located at 38 S. St. Clair St.

Yelp had the Toledo eatery listed as the country’s 54th-best sushi spot. It was the only Ohio restaurant among the top 100.

To create the list, the review platform incorporated “a number of factors,” and while the specifics aren’t disclosed, a restaurant’s total rating and total review volume were important factors.
