From markets to riverfront festivals, these four holiday events are fun for the whole family
While summer in central Ohio is packed with festivals and events, the colder months have their own fair share of things to do. We’ve rounded up some of our favorites to make sure when the temperatures fall, your fun levels don’t as well.
Bethel Holiday Market
Nov. 8 (invitation only), Nov. 9 (open to the public)
Bethel International United Methodist Church will host more 150 local artisans and vendors in their holiday market this weekend. Admission is $2 and will benefit Bethel International United Methodist Church and United Women in Faith.
St. Catharine Family Fall Festival
Nov. 16
Also known for their popular summer family fun festival, St. Cat’s in Bexley is behind a family fall festival as well, one that features hay rides, bounce houses, petting zoos and more.

Easton’s Grand Illumination
Nov. 22
While some start holiday decorations the day after Halloween (have some respect, people), Easton’s annual tree lighting is done a reasonable time into November, and is always festive, fun and family-friendly.
Winterfest
Dec. 7
Presented by the Columbus Parks & Rec. department, this annual celebration along the Scioto Mile features food trucks, craft beer, live music and plenty of family-friendly winter fun.
