According to Untapped rankings, the three best Ohio dry ciders of 2023 are all from the Columbus area
According to the users of Untappd, the beer and cider review mega-platform, not only is the best dry cider of 2023 from the Columbus area, but so are the second and third place finishers.
Each year, Untappd reveals its Community Awards, which are given out to the highest-rated drink in a specific category, in a specific region, each year. And in the Ohio dry cider category, the Columbus area came out with a hat trick.
The top finisher in Untappd’s 2023 Community Awards for Ohio dry cider, with a 3.838 star rating, was After the Goldrush, from Granville’s Seek-No-Further Cider. According to the cidery, After the Goldrush is a 7 percent ABV cider that’s off-dry, with tasting notes of lemon, peach and pear. It uses juice from local Goldrush apples from Hugus Fruit Farm in Rushville, Ohio, and is fermented with heirloom juice from Ohio and New England apples.

The second place finisher in Untappd’s rankings was Dry Cider from Parsons North Brewing Co, which netted a 3.783 star rating in 2023.
In third place was Seek-No-Further’s Seeker, which earned a 3.714 star rating from Untappd users last year.
