Since 2011, patrons have been relying on a popular breakfast chain for late night and early morning waffles, pancakes, and cheesy hashbrowns.

And while you’re still able to order some of your breakfast favorites, the Waffle House at 1712 N. High St. is permanently closing their dining room and switching to a to-go only spot.

The manager at Waffle House confirmed that starting today, Monday August 12th, eating inside this restaurant is no longer an option. Guests can order food through online ordering platforms and then pick it up through their new carry-out window. The location also no longer operates 24/7 – online pickup ends at 2 p.m. every day.

Back in April, a 20 person brawl broke out at this Waffle House around 2:30 am, leaving one person dead. The manager didn’t remark that this was the reason they’re closing their dining room permanently, but said they’re just “trying something new.”
