After 3 years, national burger chain closing a Cbus location due to ‘underperformance’

A burger shack known for fast-casual sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, and custard milkshakes is closing their doors, stating underperformance issues.

The Shake Shack located at 1370 Polaris Parkway, which initially opened in 2021, appears to have already closed, although the Securities and Exchange filing said it would be closing by September 25. Google tagged it as Permanently Closed and no one is answering the phone.

“These Shacks are not projected to provide acceptable returns in the foreseeable future,” Shake Shack said in the filing.

During a regular evaluation, the Company identified that, “…Locations that are underperforming at the Shack level in part due to changes in the trade area and, in some cases, are negatively impacting other Shacks within their proximity by cannibalizing sales.”

The company is closing eight other locations nationwide, but the Polaris location is the only one in Ohio that’s effected, according to Nation’s Restaurant News.

Remaining Shake Shacks in central Ohio can found in Dublin, Easton, and The Short North.
