After a decade, this Columbus eatery will close its doors for good

By tomorrow, Matt the Miller’s Tavern will be down to a single Columbus-area location.

According to Rob Hoersdig, Director of Operations for CLB Restaurants, the group behind Matt the Miller’s, the eatery will close its Polaris location on Feb. 15. It will still offer Valentine’s Day service this evening.

“This was not an easy decision to make. We’re at the end of our lease. We’ve been there ten years and have had a nice run,” Hoersdig told 614Now, adding that, while the performance of the concept’s Polaris location has been “good” over the last decade, CLB is “looking for great.”

Matt the Miller’s Polaris restaurant is located at 1436 Gemini Pl. The concept’s other central Ohio eatery–which will remain open–is located at 6725 Avery-Muirfield Dr.

While Hoersdig noted Matt the Miller’s doesn’t have immediate plans to replace the Polaris location, the restaurant group hasn’t ruled this out as a future possibility.

CLB Restaurants, which also owns Tucci’s in Dublin, has a new four seasons room that will open Feb. 21.
