After completing a massive new expansion, Middle West Spirits is eyeing plenty of growth to go along with it.

Yesterday, Middle West announced the completion of its new, 75,000 square foot production facility, which located on a 14-acre campus at 1165 Alum Creek Dr. on the East Side of Columbus.

In addition serving as the largest independent distillery in the state, Middle West will now operate as one of the country’s 10 largest distilleries.

“Along the journey of our own whiskey making development and growth, we have collaborated with partners at every stage and size of the process, from testing to full-scale commercial production,” said head distiller and CEO Ryan Lang in a press release. “Now that our expansion is complete, we are excited to continue these partnerships and help more fellow distillers by assisting with all aspects of whiskey-making while we continue growing and innovating our own brands.”

Middle West, which was launched by Lang in 2008, will continue to operate its Short North distillery and the restaurant that shares a space with it, Service Bar.
