After opening less than a year ago, local barbecue restaurant closes doors

A local East side spot for Filipino-style barbecue skewers is saying goodbye. But no worries – something new may be coming.

Manila Hibachi opened last November at 3747 E. Broad St., bringing traditional Filipino food like dish silog, lumpia, Mais con Yelo, and Halo-Halo, plus a variety of barbeque skewers ranging from beef, chicken, pork, shrimp, and salmon.

Now, it appears their East side location is permanently closed. They posted on their Facebook, “As of now our Broad St., Whitehall location is closed.”

However, a concept and new location seems to be in the works. “Thank you for your support! Please wait for our new concept and new location. We will post it here.”Stay tuned for details on their Facebook.
