After ten years, Columbus-area drink hotspot closing its doors

For the Daily Growler’s Powell location, the last last call is on the horizon.

According to a social media post from the craft beer bar and bottle shop, the Daily Growler’s Powell storefront will close its doors for good before the end of the month.

“We have put this off as long as possible, and we are still waiting to a find a successor, but this Sunday, Aug. 25 will be our last day serving beer in Powell,” the post reads.

No other details about the Daily Growler’s search for a new owner were provided.

The Daily Growler’s Powell storefront is located at 258 W. Olentangy River Rd. There are currently two other Daily Growler locations, one in German Village and another in Upper Arlington, both of which will remain open.

Owner John Blakey also operates the Daily Bar, a spinoff concept in Italian Village featuring craft cocktails and wine in addition to beer.
