Five Ohio cities named among the country’s best for pizza–Columbus snubbed
If you would believe it, a recent list from Pizzello highlighting the country’s top 250 cities for pizza includes five Ohio cities, and Columbus is not one of them.
According to the Pizzello list, which was published on Jan. 23, Cleveland is the best Ohio city for pizza, and the northeast Ohio municipality took the list’s 71st spot. Next was Canton at 132, Toledo at 141 and Dayton at 169. Cincinnati rounded out the list at 213.

Columbus, a city with its own style of pizza, was nowhere to be found on the list.
According to Pizzello, the list was put together by compiling the average rating of the pizzerias in a given city. The highest-rated city, New York, had an average of 4.68 out of 5, while the lowest, Kenner, Louisiana, had an average of 4.43.
