Award-winning Columbus pizzeria opening Dublin location

Less than a year after opening a new Hilliard eatery, Halwani’s Pizza & Stromboli is expanding yet again.

Halwani’s new restaurant will be located 5837 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin, in the former home of a Pizza Hut.

According to owner Shawn Halwani, the new eatery plans to hold its soft opening on Nov. 20.

This will be the concept’s third location. Halwani’s original pizzeria is located at 1453 Ida Ave. in Fifth by Northwest, and the restaurant has previously taken home the top spot at the Fifth by Northwest Pizza Crawl. Halwani’s also opened a second storefront, located at 5425 Roberts Rd., in early 2024.

While patrons can grab a classic cheese slice at Halwani’s, the pizzeria also offers a variety of unique international options, like the South African Pizza, Shanghai Shrimp Pizza and a Greek Pizza.  

Halwani told 614Now that the new location will be adding several new speciality pizzas as well, including the Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza and the Shawarma Pizza.
