Best lasagna in all of Ohio is at this mom&pop Italian restaurant in Columbus, study says
Most of us probably think our mothers make the best lasagna in the entire world (but really, mine does). A national food publication would have to disagree, unless your momma is named Lola and she resides near Gahanna.
Lovefood compiled a list of the absolute best lasagna in every state, based on genuine user reviews, awards and accolades, and the first-hand experience of their team, and they say the best lasagna in Ohio is right here in Columbus (near Gahanna), at a tiny mom&pop shop that only fits about 10 tables at a time.

That’s right – Lola & Giuseppe’s Trattoria, located at 100 Granville. St., serves the most incredible lasagna in all of Ohio. Their five-layer dish is made with ground chuck steak, four different types of cheeses, and lashings of homemade marinara. You can also get it “Tuscan-style,” and top it with homemade alfredo sauce.
Guests also love the fact you can order “Giuseppi’s Sampler,” which includes a smaller portion of lasagna, plus spaghetti and meatballs and a heaping slice of eggplant parmesan served over rigatoni.
Lola and Giuseppe’s was originally owned by Lola and Giuseppe themselves, but they passed down their family business to another Italian family, The Fancelli’s, in 2017. The Fancelli’s kept all of the original recipes, and this Italian trattoria is still one of the most coveted spots in Columbus.
This is my warning to make a reservation! Don’t expect to walk right in.
