Check out of the final round of 614 feast’s Columbus Burger Battle here
The Columbus Burger Battle has been a blast, and now we’re wrapping up the series with the last—but certainly not least—area: Southwest Columbus. From food trucks and walk-ups to coney restaurants, this part of town has no shortage of amazing burger options. Here are my top five picks for the best burgers in the southwest.
Steph’s Way (177 S Cypress Ave)
Famous for their fantastic chicken wings, Steph’s Way also serves up some impressive burgers and sandwiches. Don’t miss the Steph’s Way Steak Burger—a generous portion of sirloin steak topped with mozzarella cheese, onions, mushrooms, and garlic aioli, all on Texas toast. Pair it with their sweet potato fries for the perfect combo.
Broadway Plates and Pints (4008 Broadway, Grove City)
With several unique smash burgers on the menu, this spot delivers high-quality flavors. My favorite is the Beer Cheese Burger: two 4oz smash patties, house-made beer cheese, caramelized onions, and bacon. Plus, you can catch the game on one of their 14 large TVs while you feast.

Royal Burger (3823 Sullivant Ave)
A food truck fit for royalty, serving up gyros, chicken tenders, cheesesteaks, and, of course, burgers. Their Cheeseburger—available as a single or double—is a timeless classic, perfectly seasoned and grilled with a satisfying char. It’s topped with lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and a dollop of their secret sauce that elevates every bite.
Blu-Willy’s (3985 Broadway, Grove City)
They offer a variety of creative burgers that cater to all tastes. You can go classic with their Hamburger, where you can customize it with cheese and toppings, or try something adventurous like the French Onion Burger, featuring all the rich flavors of French onion soup with Swiss cheese and caramelized onions.
Tony’s Coneys (5266 W Broad St)
Tony’s may be famous for their coneys, but their burgers are just as noteworthy. The Coney Burger brings together a cheeseburger topped with coney sauce, mustard, onions, and coleslaw for a flavor-packed experience. For a more traditional option, try the Jumbo Double Cheeseburger, with up to 10 toppings at no extra charge—add bacon for a little extra.
The Buckeye Burger Battle may be over, but we’ve showcased 25 amazing burger spots—and crazy enough, there are still tons more out there. Columbus truly is a burger lover’s paradise. What dish should I feature next?
