Chic, cozy, upscale restaurant, from the owners of a local wine bar, opening in historic district

If you’ve ever been to Coast Wine House, you know they have something special going on. The cozy ambiance, the eclectic furniture, and the elusive wine offerings transport you out of historic Dublin and to a wine bar and bottle shop you’d find in wine country on the West Coast.

There’s only one small problem with the wine shop though. Although they offer delicious and curated small plates and snacks, like charcuterie, smoked salmon deviled eggs, mixed nuts and more, the people want more. “We’ve been listening closely to those willing to share their feedback, and the most common thing that we hear is that folks wish we had more food. Unfortunately the physical limits of our kitchen just haven’t allowed us to that,” said Dustin Snow, the owner of Coast Wine House.

Until now.

Snow is giving guests exactly what they’ve been waiting for – he and the Coast Wine House team are opening up a new, full-service dining concept called “Gene’s,” moving right next door at 91 S. High St. in Dublin.

“The experience will be fresh yet familiar, sophisticated but unfussy. With a commitment to quality, every ingredient and bottle will tell a story. It’s a spot for making memories – from date night to catch-up-time with your closest friend, to celebrating over countless bottles of wine and as many dishes as you can share,” Snow shared.

Gene’s kitchen will be led by Chef Bobby Moore, who studied at Québec’s Institute of Tourism & Hospitality. He’s worked in the restaurant industry for the past 20 years, and most recently as the chef and kitchen manager at Coast Wine House. The food served at Gene’s will definitely reflect Bobby’s expertise – they’re planning on serving local and seasonal American cuisine with global flair. Of course, wine will also be at the center of the guest experience, but with the addition of a full service bar featuring cocktails and draft beer, too.

And don’t worry. Coast Wine House will continue being the neighborhood favorite spot for wine and snacks! You can stop in there for some pre-dinner fun, then step right next door for a fabulous, intimate dinner experience at Gene’s.

Check out their Instagram and website for more info, including an opening date.
