Long-standing Victorian Village bar burglarized; Staff memorial stolen

Jack McLaughlin
So A long-standing Victorian Village bar is picking up the pieces after becoming the victim of a robbery.

According to a social media statement from Zeno’s, which is located at 384 W. Third Ave., multiple individuals broke into the bar around 5:30 a.m. on Feb. 24.

The bar doesn’t keep “anything beside a roll of quarters overnight,” but according to Zeno’s post, the suspects still managed to make off with a high-value item.

“The thieves grabbed two bottles from our bar, which normally would be an easier blow to absorb, however one of those bottles was a laser-engraved bottle of Woodford Reserve that was a memorial for Katie,” the post reads. “This left our staff feeling violated and upset to say the least.”

The bar is asking for help, imploring anyone any information about the break-in or come forward. It’s statement notes Zeno’s owner want to see those responsible “held accountable for their thoughtless actions.”

Yesterday, Zeno’s shared security camera photos in a follow-up post about what they believe to be a related incident.
