Clintonville restaurant takes jab at Chick-fil-A with Seitan’s-fil-A menu
One of the city’s popular meatless eateries has introduced a new line of menu items that were inspired by Chick-fil-A , all while taking a jab at the massive chicken chain.
Seitan’s Realm, which is located at 3496 N. High St. in Clintonville, recently rolled out a line of Seitan’s-fil-A offerings, featuring meatless menu items that bear a striking resemblance to those from Chick-fil-A.
In case you weren’t aware, seitan is a type of plant-based meat replacement made from wheat gluten.

Seitan’s-fil-A includes meatless fried and grilled sandwiches (called the Chuck’s-fil-A and Fried Chikun Sandwich, respectively), in addition to fried nuggets and waffle fries.
According to owner Kevin Ridenbaugh, the menu items are “more than just a subtle jab” at Chick-fil-A.
Additionally, he said, the items (when in stock) are available “especially on Sunday,” a shot at the fact that the fried chicken chain is closed on Sunday.
Ridenbaugh said the Seitan’s-fil-A menu concluded its initial run over the weekend, but that the specials will “definitely” be back.
