Columbus bakery relocating to Houston

Fans of Suga Pie’s Cupcakes will have the rest of the month to place orders from the bakery before its owners–and the concept itself–relocates to the Lone Star State.

According to a social media statement from owner Skyla Johnson, Suga Pie’s will be relocating to Houston sometime in February.

“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the past 13 years in Columbus and helping to make Suga Pie’s Cupcake a known name not only in Ohio but all over across the states,” Johnson’s statement reads. “It’s because of you all that I’ve had so much success. I’ll miss y’all, I love you all and please continue to support my journey as my family relocates to Houston.”

Johnson said January is likely the final month to place an order, although she may opt to hold a Valentine’s Say special to Columbus customers before the move.

Suga Pie’s, which is a speciality and infused cupcake shop, currently operates an pick-up only bakery with online ordering, although it at one time operated a brick and mortar space inside of The Pitt BBQ Grille’s former Clintonville location.
