The public profile of a Downtown eatery is heating up.

FYR, the flagship restaurant of the Hilton Columbus Downtown which is located at 404 N. High St., was named by USA Today as one of the publication’s 2024 Restaurants of the Year.

Headlined by star chef Sebastian La Rocca, the eatery–as its name implies–focuses on flame-cooked fare, incorporating multiple fire-based cooking techniques across its menu. According to a 2022 interview with La Rocca, each cooking method is inspired by La Rocca’s time in his native Argentina.

The list includes 50 different restaurants from across the country, although FYR was the only eatery from Ohio.

FYR opened its doors in October of 2022. The Hilton Columbus Downtown also operates a rooftop bar, Stories on High, which is located on the building’s 28th floor, and will celebrate its one-year anniversary later this month.
