Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy coming to Columbus

Jack McLaughlin

A popular traveling speakeasy concept dedicated to one of the most famous horror authors of all time is coming to Columbus.

The Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy will be in Ohio’s Capital City May 16-18th. The event will take place at Hi-Lo Studios, which is located at 153 E. Main St.

The speakeasy is traveling across the country this year, but will make no other stops in the Buckeye State.

Tickets, which cost $45 and are required for entry, can be purchased here.

Visitors will be able to spend an “immersive” evening at the Columbia space, which will be transformed into a Gothic horror-themed speakeasy. Four different Poe-inspired cocktails will be served, including Pale Blue Eye, Cocktail of Red Death, Edgar’s Twisted Brandy Milk Punch and The Nevermore. Edgar Allan Poe’s work will also be read throughout the evening.
