Following fire, central Ohio pizzeria open for dine-in

Even a fire can’t keep Benny’s Pizza, Patio & Pub down.

The restaurant–whose pickup building is located next door to its main eatery–caught fire in the early hours of last Friday. According to a post made to its social media accounts, however, Benny’s is now open for dine-in customers.

As of yesterday morning, the eatery was offering a temporary menu that did not include regular pizza, although cauliflower-crust pizza and other items like sandwiches, appetizers and entrees are available until pizza returns.

Benny’s dine-in space is located at 968 Columbus Ave. in Marysville, and its pickup building–which caught fire and is temporarily closed–is located next door, at 972 Columbus Ave. According to Marysville Fire Division Chief Nate Burns, the fire was accidentally started due to “smoldering towels.” No one was injured in the fire.
