Food truck serving Columbus’ first ‘UFO Burgers’ launching this week

A cosmic new burger concept is ready to land in Columbus.

Hangry Planet, a new, outer space-themed food truck is set to serve its first local event later this week.

Hangry Planet will serve food at a Marion brewery the day before, but it will open its doors to Columbus on May 17, from 6-9 p.m., when it sets up shop at the Franklin Night Market. The market is located at 188 McDowell St.

Serving sandwiches, fries and even a pair of breakfast options, the new food truck also offers the “first UFO burgers in Columbus.”

A UFO Burger, in case you were wondering, is similar to a classic burger option, although the sides of the bun are crimped and grilled, creating a spaceship-shaped pocket for the contents of the sandwich.

The new eatery, which is halal, also offers a black bean burger, chicken sandwich and fish sandwich.
