Guy Fieri opening first-ever Italian restaurant in Cbus this spring featuring 68 layer lasagna
The Mayor of Flavortown announced today that he’s bringing a brand new concept to none than Columbus, Ohio.
That’s right – Guy Fieri, the world renown restaurateur, chef, and author (and apparently, mayor?) is opening his first-ever Italian restaurant at Scioto Downs this spring.
His new restaurant will feature classic Italian dishes, with “a Fieri-twist,” said a press release. “Being from an Italian family, classic Italian American fare has always been part of my life and I’m stoked to bring those real deal flavors to Scioto Downs,” Fieri explained.

Apparently, his idea of a classic Italian American dish includes a 68-layer homemade lasagna. The menu will also feature primetime meatballs, pasta fagiolo, chicken parmigiana, and other pastas and pizzas.
This concept, conveniently located steps away from Scioto Downs’ gaming floor, will encapsulate an old-school Italian vibe, with textured glass screens, rustic wood finishes, an open pizza & pasta prep station, gallery walls, and a lounge-like bar, according to the press release.
Scioto Downs Racino is located at 6000 South High St. While there has yet to be an exact opening date, they said the restaurant, which hasn’t been named yet, will open this spring. Guy Fieri currently owns 17 other restaurants, ranging from tacos to BBQ.
