A popular East Side butchery is joining the Downtown crowd.

Macelleria East Side Butchery, which currently resides in Bexley, is bringing over 50 cuts of locally sourced and sustainably raised products to the North Market, located at 59 Spruce St.

Owner Philip Clary, a seasoned butcher with an impressive culinary background, is partnering with Ian Holmes, the owner of COLO Seafood & Oyster Bar and COLO Burger Bar, aiming to elevate the meat selection at Downtown’s North Market with some of the freshest cuts possible.

Macelleria North Market Butchery plans to open in mid-September. “I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a vendor at North Market Downtown, a Columbus institution for 148 years!!!” said Phillip Clary. “Eagerly awaiting the completion of construction/build-out for what will be a World-Class destination for Columbus!”

The grand opening of Macelleria East Side Butchery is pending final inspections, but is expected to take place in September, with special promotions planned for the occasion. Initially, hours of operation for Macelleria will be Tuesday – Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., with plans to expand hours in the coming months.
