Two different celebrities visited two popular Columbus establishments this week

Sav McKee

The owners of Tommy’s Diner and Magnolia Thunderpussy got quite the surprise this week when two different celebrity artists dropped in to their establishments.

Jhene Aiko, a popular R&B artist known for hits like “Sativa” and “The Worst,” stopped into Tommy’s Diner with her production crew when she was in town for her concert. Michael, the owner of Tommy’s, posted a Facebook picture of them together with the caption, “Honor to meet and feed the super talented Jhene Aiko! Appreciate you and your crew coming in and wishing you continued success!!”

On the exact same day that Michael from Tommy’s posted that, the owner of Magnolia Thunderpussy, a popular record shop, posted a picture on Facebook with DJ Jazzy Jeff, AKA Jeffrey Allen Townes. He was one half of the hip hop duo DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince, along with rapper-turned-actor and fellow Philadelphia native, Will Smith. He’s currently touring with New Kids on the Block and Paula Abdul, and was here for the Columbus concert last weekend.
