Long-standing Columbus pizzeria ‘retiring’ food truck

The Mikey’s Late Night Slice food truck is saying farewell to not only its Land-Grant Brewing Co. home, but to nearly all additional use in the future.

According to a statement posted to the Columbus pizzeria’s social media pages on Wednesday, Mikey’s is “retiring” its food truck.

“It’s been real @landgrantbrewing The time has finally come to retire the Mikey’s truck save for an occasional festival. THANK YOU Land-Grant, you’ve been good to us throughout the last few years and we’ll miss the Franklinton festivities,” the statement reads.

Mikey’s post also noted that the truck will no longer be available private events.

The Columbus pizza spot’s food truck moved to its location outside of Land-Grant in May of 2022. Craft beer fans shouldn’t worry too much, though, as it doesn’t appear the Ray Ray’s Hog Pit food truck–which is also parked in front of the brewery–is going anywhere anytime soon.

Mikey’s fans also shouldn’t worry about a shortage of locations with the food truck retirement, as the eatery recently opened a Bridge Park storefront, and will open another location in Easton this week as well.
