Long-standing Downtown spot planning rooftop bar
Downtown Columbus has long adored Tip Top Kitchen & Cocktails, a local gem since Liz Lessner and her brother, Tim, kicked off its journey back in 2007. Originally known as the Grapevine, this spot has become a cornerstone of our dining scene, known for its cozy vibes and killer food.
Now, the new owners Xhevair Brakaj and Koli Memushaj, known for their success with Arch City Tavern in the Short North, are preparing to breathe new life into the beloved spot at 73 E. Gay St., promising exciting changes that will impress.
The planned renovation will overhaul both the interior and exterior. Exterior updates include replacing the current mansard roof with a sleek modern facade of white brick and black siding. A stunning wall of windows will adorn the front, filling the once dimly lit interior with natural light and revolutionizing the dining experience.

Elevate Studio, the creative minds behind the design, will present their renovation plans at the Downtown Commission’s upcoming meeting next Tuesday. Pending approval, this project promises to be a game-changer for Tip Top, ushering in an exciting new era for this local favorite.
