Longstanding Columbus restaurant rated one of the ‘Best French Restaurants in America’

Sav McKee

Since 1976, a fine dining restaurant has been proving that Columbus’ culinary scene is top-notch. And we’re not the only ones that think that.

Lovefood, a national food & beverage platform that often ranks the best establishments in America, compiled a list of the “Best French Restaurants in America,” and none other than The Refectory ranked 23rd on their exclusive list.

They said, “Lyon native Richard Blondin is the chef at the helm, combining iconic flavors and techniques from his homeland with a sprinkling of American soul. He serves up a five-course tasting menu but also offers a selection of frequently evolving small plates where the diners can ‘design dinner in the order you desire.’”

The Refectory’s dining menu is ever-changing, but currently, guests can order their take on French cuisine, like unique Caviars, Escargot & Shiitake Marble, Monkfish Tail “Bourride Style,” Herbs de Provence Crusted Lamb Chops, and much more. Yes, of course, including Vanilla Crème Brûlée. And if all of that is too much to choose from, opt for a tasting menu!

For an unparalleled dining experience, visit The Refectory at 1092 Bethel Rd., inside of an 18th century church boasting hand-hewn beams and exposed wooden roof structures. Their fusion of contemporary American and classic French cuisine makes the restaurant a no brainer for a celebration or just a special night out.
