Lucky’s Market announces opening date of anticipated new location

Jack McLaughlin

The second Columbus location of Lucky’s Market is slated to open next month.

According to a press release from the Saltzman Family, which owns the brand’s stores in Ohio, Lucky’s will open in Thurber Village on May 17. The store had previously advertised a spring 2024 opening, although the exact date was unclear until now.

The new Lucky’s Market is located at 747 Neil Ave.

The 21,000 square-foot spot will serve as an eclectic  grocery store for Thurber Village, which is currently being redeveloped by local group CASTO. The project began in the fall of 2022. A new CVS and a 225-unit apartment building will also be added.

The Thurber Village location will mark the second Columbus Lucky’s Market. The Boulder-based market’s original central Ohio storefront is located at 2770 N. High St. in Clintonville.
