National breakfast chain appears to be opening second central Ohio restaurant

Sav McKee

A Southern-inspired breakfast restaurant specializing in chicken and waffles, crab cake benedicts, shrimp n’ grits, plus many more traditional brunch items appears to be opening a second location in the central Ohio area.

According to city permits, Another Broken Egg Cafe could be opening…well…another cafe!

The award-winning cafe first opened a central Ohio location back in 2022 at Easton, and now, permits show that they applied for a liquor license at a former Panera located in Powell, at 8823 Owenfield Dr.

Another Broken Egg Cafe would need that liquor license to sell their popular, hand-crafted cocktails, like palomas, margaritas, and mules. Check out their cocktail menu here, and their food menu here.

The restaurant, which opened its first location in 1996, boasts about 100 locations throughout the United States right now, with eight of them being in Ohio. It’s considered to be one of the fastest-growing breakfast and brunch concepts right now, according to a press release.

The brand did not return a request for comment on an opening date, but stay tuned.
