Don’t look now, but here come more mochi donuts.

Mochi Ring Donut has opened the doors of its first-ever Ohio storefront, which is located at 1144 Kenny Centre Mall.

In case you don’t already know, mochi is made from a rice flour that lends itself–and the donuts created with it–to a unique balance between a chewy texture and soft airiness.

As its name implies, Mochi Ring Donut serves a wide variety of mochi donuts, including floavors like Coffee, Coconut, S’mores, Nutella, Ube and more. A Cheddar Cheese mochi donut is even available.

In addition to donuts, the new eatery offers bubble tea and Korean corn dogs in multiple varieties, such as ramen and even Cheetos.

Local home bakeries like Mochi Shop have been offering the treats to Columbus for several years now, but Mochi Ring Donut is one of several new mochi donut spots that have come to Columbus in recent years, with more on the way. This is the concept’s first Ohio locations, although it operates others in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and New Jersey.
