New concept from owners of Pelino’s Pasta bringing Italian-inspired breakfast to Short North

When the first and second times are already a charm, the third time is bound to be, as well.

Christina and Vinny Pelino, owners of Pelino’s Pasta and the recently-opened Piazza Pelino, (which serves sandwiches and gelato), have opened their third concept, Caffe Pelino.

Billed as the “ultimate breakfast spot,” the new cafe is located at 680 N. Pearl St. in the Short North. It will open July 6.

While a menu for the new concept hasn’t been released just yet, it appears Caffe Pelino—like both of its sister restaurants—will lean heavily into Italian culture and cuisine.

The Short North spot has teased items like lemon ricotta pancakes with salmon, thick-cut French carbonara-inspired breakfast platter with eggs and guanciale and more.
