New pizzeria featuring Turkish-style pies, extreme fries now open

A new pizzeria offering Turkish-style pizza, extreme French fries and much more and has opened its doors on the city’s Southeast City.

Mr. Mando Restaurant, which is located at 4998 Lindora Dr., officially opened for business late last year.

According to owner Mohannad “Mando” Abu Hakmah, the new Columbus pizza spot creates their pizza Turkish-style. This means that the dough (which is hand-made at Mr. Mando) is formed into a long, thin oval rather than a circle, and the eatery typically includes Turkish spices in many of its dishes.

“It’s different. It’s not circular, but we make the dough in out restaurant overnight, and a lot of people like it,” Abu Hakmah told 614Now.

While Turkish pizza is the star of the show at Mr. Mando, the new eatery has a handful of other unique dishes that sets it apart from similar concepts. Diners can opt for regular French fries, and Mr. Mando also offers multiple versions of extreme fries that top the dish with pizza ingredients, such as mozzarella cheese and pepperoni, sausage, bacon and more.

Additionally, the new eatery offers burgers and its Double Extreme Spicy Zinger, which stacks two generous pieces of fried chicken between a trio of buns, combined with lettuce, tomato, ranch and their Extreme Spicy sauce.
