Ohio-based fusion chain abruptly closes location

An Ohio-based chain offering Asian fusion dishes has closed one of its locations for good.

According to its website, Fusian’s Westerville eatery, which was located at 79 S. State St., closed its on Nov. 1.

The eatery opened in December of 2020.

In late October, the eatery posted a sign on its front door notifying patrons of the closure.

“It’s been a pleasure serving you, Westerville,” the sign reads. “You warmly welcomed us to the community since day one and we’ve loved calling this place home.”

The concept, which aims to offer affordable sushi and Asian-American dishes, first opened in Cincinnati of 2010 under the name SohoSushi, and was later renamed and rebranded as Fusian. 

The eatery currently operates locations in Clintonville, Easton and Grandview, in addition to three restaurants in Cincinnati, three in Dayton and one in Toledo.
