Owners of Bake Me Happy opening new concept in Upper Arlington

By now, you probably know Bake Me Happy for their delicious gluten-free treats they offer at their German Village-area and Dublin bakeries.

But a new project is in the works for them. Letha Pugh, co-owner of Bake Me Happy, said she’s excited to be able to offer the community clean, accessible meals at their new café called Core Café, which will be located in the Bob Crane Community Center in Upper Arlington.

Construction is still ongoing for this new recreation center, which will house a swimming pool, coworking spaces, and fitness equipment. Before you check-in for their services, the smiling faces at Core Café will be greeting you.

Core Café will offer health-conscious, elevated grab & go meals, as well as coffee, smoothies, and gluten-free Bake Me Happy treats. “I want to eat things that will fuel me appropriately,” said Pugh. “And my goal is to be able to provide those clean meals for folks too.”

They’ll be pairing up with local restaurant owners to offer a variety of options of meals, not just focusing on the gluten-free aspect. Patrons can eat the meals there in the café space, or just grab one after work or after a work-out to take home.

“Anybody in the community can come in and grab something delicious,” Pugh assured.

Core Café is aiming for an April opening.
