Owners of Columbus ramen restaurant opening new Bridge Park matcha drink and dessert bar

Milky Way is coming to Dublin, and we’re not talking about the galaxy or candy bar.

According to Fukuryu Ramen creative and marketing director Jason Lam, Fukuryu will be replacing the sushi station within its Bridge Park eatery with a new concept, MIlky Way Matcha Bar, which will serve matcha-forward drinks and inventive desserts.

The new concept is set to open sometime this month, although an exact date has not been announced yet.

“Matcha has been in the spotlight for a while, but we believe that it deserves a category of its own when it comes to food & beverages,” Lam said. “We want to highlight this highly-loved and versatile Japanese ingredient that the Columbus community can enjoy in a variety of ways! We aren’t just talking about lattes, we are looking to incorporate matcha in dessert dishes, ice cream, and carbonated/fruit beverages that aren’t normally seen around Columbus.”

Cosmic Matcha: our signature iced matcha latte, with notes of lavender – topped with a lavender cosmic creme (foam).
Lavender Haze: iced Lavender latte topped with Sakura cosmic cream (foam) and sprinkled with sakura dust.
Strawberry Supernova: strawberry puree, your choice of milk, and our signature matcha over ice.
Mikan Dream: our 24 hour cold brew, with a splash of oat milk, spritz of orange mist and nebula dust (dutched choco sprinkle).
Cosmic Creme Brew: our 24 hour cold brew topped with a vanilla cosmic creme cap.
Dynamic Dalgona: Whipped sweet coffee over your choice of milk.
Taiyaki: Fish-shaped cake filled with melty Nutella or mozzarella cheese filling – perfect cheese pull! *Watch us make it right in front of you!*
Ube Butter Mochi: Bouncy ube-flavored mochi bites.
Onigiri: Our partnership with Meanie Konbini Onigiri (Columbus’ woman-owned onigiri brand – small business). Teriyaki Salmon, Tuna Mayo, Crab Stick, Teriyaki Chicken, and Vegan fresh onigiri.
Ramen Rice Krispy: Miso-infused Rice Krispy Treats with dried ramen toppings (the type you find in cup ramen!) – savory and sweet.

Milkyway Matcha will operate from both a walk-up window outside of Fukuryu’s Dublin restaurant, which is located at 4540 Bridge Park Ave., and a separate line inside the eatery.
