Popular coffee shop & cocktail bar introduces new dinner menu

Sav McKee

If you’re anything like me, and it feels like a sin to drink a dirty martini without a side of fries and a Caesar salad followed by a cup of espresso for dessert, then there’s a popular shop in town where you can now enjoy all of that (and much more).

Parable Cafe, which opened in the Lazarus Building at 149 S. High St. back in 2022 after garnering mass popularity as a pop-up at the restaurant Comune, isn’t just a coffee shop by day/cocktail bar at night anymore – they’re now making waves in the food scene, too, introducing a curated dinner menu for the first time since they’ve been open.

You can now find small plates, all made in-house, like charcuterie, bread & spread, and fried & stuffed olives, plus sandwiches such as a smoked white fish melt,  beet reuben, and kimchi grilled cheese. Pair any of those with their shoestring fries served with malt vinegar toum, focaccia & herbed olive oil, or a caesar salad. And for dessert, try their tiramisu or an affogato olive oil ice cream.

Enjoy Parable’s new dinner menu 3pm-9pm, Wednesday through Sunday, and pair it with any of their incredible cocktails or glasses of natural wine while you’re at it.
