After 3 years, S’wich Social is closing up shop, but don’t fret – another popular ice cream shop is moving right into the 869 N.4th St. space.

S’wich Social, known for their gigantic ice cream sandwiches made with homemade cookies, unique ice cream fillings, and then covered in cereal and other toppings, first opened in March of 2021. They quickly became a go-to spot for the Columbus crowd to satisfy their sweet tooth.

This year, however, they won’t be reopening in springtime like they usually do. Instead, Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, the family owned and operated ice cream shop that originated in Bexley, posted on the former S’wich Social’s door that they’ll be opening there this Spring instead. Johnson’s will be announcing more details in the upcoming weeks!

Johnson’s, a 70 year old ice cream shop known for classic cones, sundaes, cakes, and sandwiches started expanding in 2017, with their second location in Dublin, then in 2018 in New Albany. They announced in September that they’ll be opening another location in Grandview, and now, this Italian Village shop will mark their fifth central Ohio location.
