Popular Mexican concept announces opening date of new Short North location today

El Vaquerohas officially joins the ranks of Short North businesses today.

According to the eatery’s social media pages, the local Mexican restaurant is officially opening its Short North location today. Its grand opening celebration will be held today from 12 a.m.-12 p.m.

In honor of the eatery’s first Short North restaurant, it will offer special deals all day, including:

-10 oz Margaritas for $4.99 all day

-Free Cheese or Guacamole Dip per table.

-Chimichanga Supreme entrée for $14.99

-Pollo Marinado entrée for $14.99

The newest El Vaquero eatery, which is located at 600 N. High Street, will take over the former home of Local Cantina, which shuttered its Short North location in June.

The Columbus-based Mexican concept operates a total of 20 restaurants, with 18 in Ohio and two in Michigan. El Vaquero has 13 central Ohio locations.
