Popular national burger chain appears to be opening a German Village area location
Looks like the German Village/Schumacher Place area will have an option for smash burgers and bags of french fries.
According to city permits, Five Guys appears to be opening another Columbus location at 491 E. Livingston Ave., right across from Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The new 2,500 square foot restaurant will include both indoor and outdoor seating. Neither Five Guys nor the architects on the project could provide an opening date, but the permit says that extensive renovations will take place, such as new walls, new ceilings, plumbing, electric, HVAC, and even new floors.
Five Guys now has over 1700 stores nationwide, and they’re considered one of the fastest growing casual food chains in the country, known for their fresh-never-frozen double patties, steamed and smashed on the grill, and their crispy (yet soft in the middle) fries fried in peanut oil.
