Popular pizza chain franchised by ‘Guinness World Record’ holder opening in former local Wendy’s

Last month, a former Columbus Wendy’s sold for $700k, and according to recently filed permits, another popular fast-food chain is moving right in, but you won’t find Junior Bacon Cheeseburgers or Frosty’s here anymore.

The building, located at 6030 Busch Blvd. in North Columbus, was bought by a Domino’s Pizza franchisee, and permits show that remodeling is already taking place (the drive-thru window will still be utilized though, where patrons can pick up their to-go orders there!).

Permits show that franchisee Brian Edler will be the owner of this Domino’s Pizza location, and that’s a pretty big deal considering he won a Guinness World Record back in 2011 for making the most pizzas in a single hour (206 medium cheese pizzas!), according to PMQ. He franchises over 40 other Domino’s locations, and has been in the Domino’s business for over 40 years.

Edler couldn’t be reached for comment about an opening date, but stay tuned.
