Popular pizzeria reopening next week after 5 month closure

Sav McKee

Last September, a popular pizzeria known for serving crispy Columbus-style za and large New York-style pies, had to shutter their doors due to a fire.

Black Dog Pizzeria, a local shop that opened in 2022, was making strides in the central Ohio pizza scene. In 2023, they won the Best Pizza at the Dublin Voter’s Choice Awards. But then, their hot water tank caught fire, causing smoke and fire damage to the shop, and halting their business.

They thought they’d only close for a few weeks.

But after five months of closure, we can all get our hands on Black Dog Pizzeria’s pies and wings again, starting March 5! They’ll be open Tuesday-Thursday plus Sunday, 4pm-9pm, Friday and Saturday, 4pm-10pm, and closed Mondays.

“We’re looking forward to using and showing off our newly renovated kitchen and pizzeria!” said Jessica Hellaine, co-owner.

Black Dog Pizzeria is located at 5923 Karric Square Dr. in Dublin, OH.
