Popular restaurant rebrands as steakhouse, new menu inspired by now-closed Oscar’s

What once was called a tavern, could now be considered a steakhouse. “We’re upping the game here,” said Craig Barnum.

Matt the Miller’s Tavern, a popular restaurant in Dublin, is refreshing and rebranding. Owner Craig Barnum has decided to change the name to MTM Tavern | Steakhouse, and has also updated the entire menu to feature a variety of steakhouse favorites.

Guest can now enjoy four varieties of steak options, like a 10-ounce wagyu sirloin, a ribeye, twin 8-ounce filets, and a New York strip. New steakhouse sides include asparagus, mashed potatoes, and salads, and you can top your steaks with gorgonzola, sauteed mushrooms, and barbecue compound butter.

Barnum hired two experienced chefs who have worked in steakhouse kitchens previously: Will Mahoney, formerly at Smith & Wollensky, and Joel Blankenship from The Avenue. Chef Patrick Klinker, who’s been with MTM for more than a year now, was the chef at the deeply missed Dublin restaurant, Oscar’s, for more than 20 years.

Several classics from Oscar’s of Dublin has also been revived at MTM Tavern | Steakhouse. Barnum was a partner there for more than a decade, and now, customers can indulge in the famous dishes like Lake Erie Walleye, Shrimp & Angel Hair Pasta, Ahi Tuna Tacos, and Crispy Salmon.

Oscar’s of Dublin closed early this year after 30 years in business, and longtime customers were understandably bummed. Now, there’s a chance to live out the Oscar’s heyday, just in a different location.

MTM Tavern | Steakhouse is located at 6725 Avery-Muirfield Drive in Dublin, Ohio.
