Popular sandwich shop opening third location this winter

Popular sandwich shop opening third location this winter

You don’t have to travel all the way to Peru to experience an authentic ‘Sangucheria’ (otherwise known as a Peruvian sandwich shop). There’s already two here in Columbus, and a third is on its way!

Si, Señor Peruvian Sandwiches first opened in March of 2010. Almost a decade and a half later, and the sangucheria has become incredibly popular, known for their giant Turkey Al Jugo and Criollo Fish sandwiches, and cilantro cream pasta salads, plus much more.

Currently, there’s two Si Señor locations: one in Grandview, and another in The Arena District, both only open for lunch. But this January, they’re opening an entirely new sandwich shop at 4189 Weaverton Lane at Easton. And the best part about it? They’ll stay open throughout dinner service, too.

“We’re really excited,” said the Si Señor team. “It was always our goal to get a couple of locations going, especially after bouncing back from Covid. And we saw a huge opportunity at Easton.”

The new shop will feature a consolidated menu, similar to The Arena District’s menu but with a few additional options. It will be open every single day.

Si Señor is reminiscent of a coastal Peruvian sandwich shop. Italians are the second largest immigrant group to Peru, and many of their coastal towns boast Italian and Spanish influences. As expected, the food in these regions do too. And staying true to Peru’s roots, their sandwiches also feature a fusion of Peruvian, Italian, and Spanish elements, as well.
