There’s soon going to be one more spot Downtown for delicious food.

Soul 2 Go, a carry out eatery specializing in soul food like jerk chicken bowls and chicken wings, has confirmed that they’re opening their first dine-in, brick & mortar restaurant at 72 E. Lynn St.`after first opening a carry-out only eatery in January of 2021.

Their new Downtown location used to house Sí Señor until they moved to the Arena District, and most recently, Toroya Moroccan Cuisine, which closed up shop last summer.

Currently, you can find Soul 2 Go at Columbus Food Hall, a ghost kitchen that features dozens of eateries, located at 1282 Essex Ave. Although it’s a ghost kitchen, the owners Will and Kevil Hightower are still slinging rich mac & cheese and garlic mashed potatoes, and soul food classics like fried okra and even liver & onions.

New restaurants are popping up all over downtown, which makes us hopeful for a revitalization after the pandemic slowed things down.
