Popular Upper Arlington restaurant announces two more concepts in the works

A popular spot for delicious, healthy fare just announced they’re expanding with two new concepts in the works.

SŌW Plated, which stands for Sustainable, Organic, Wellness, is located at 1625 W. Lane, and is owned by Sunny and John Fahlgren, who had a mission to create a welcoming space for the community to come together and enjoy flavorful food that are packed full of nutrients that positively influence our mood. Alarmed by the statistics that 25% of Americans live with a mental health condition, they were inspired to improve mental health with the food we eat. In 2019, they opened their first SŌW restaurant, offering dinners such as Grass-fed Steak Sandwiches, Faroe Island Salmon, and Ancient Grain Salads, and also a health-focused brunch and lunch menu.

Now, they’re ready to expand their mission to the Short North and Franklinton, partnering with Kaufman Development to open their new concept, SŌW To Go.

SŌW To Go will be a fast-casual store focused on delivery and carry-out featuring SŌW’s best dishes, as well as fresh-pressed juices, smoothies and an expanded coffee menu at Gravity in Franklinton (435 W. Broad St.) and Green|House Short North (21 W. Second Ave.).

Guests can expect fresh, scratch-made, nutrient-packed dishes and juices, including breakfast favorites like the Acai Bowl and Market Scramble, plus Breads & Spreads, Harvest Salads, and even their famous Wagyu Burger. Plus, they’re also planning on selling books, apparel, and offerings from other local wellness brands.

“We’re so passionate about wellness and mental health and how food connects to both,” Sunny Fahlgren said. “All of us are on some sort of health journey. Certain things are within our control, and some things are not. But we do have an opportunity to make a decision about our health three times a day when we eat,” said Sunny Fahlgren in a press release.

The Gravity location is expected to open in Spring of 2024, and will be open seven delays a week from 8am-6pm, serving breakfast and lunch.

The Short North location is slated to complete construction in early summer of 2024, complete with a 700 square foot space.

A huge congratulations for a local business expanding on their dreams!
