According to WARN notice, nearly 2,000 workers will be laid off in Ohio in first two months of 2025
Thousands of layoffs will occur starting in early 2025, according to recent data from WARN (Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification) notice filings.
WARN filings submitted to the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services are required for employers with more than 100 full-time employees. These companies are required to provide a 60-day notice before letting go 50 or more workers at one single location.

And according to the data, around 2,000 layoffs will occur this January or February in Ohio. Most notably, American Freight Group, headquartered in Delaware, OH, will lay off 62 employees this February after closing all of their nationwide stores and headquarters. idX Corporation in Dayton will cut 66 jobs by January first, Mobis North America will lay off 210 people by January 5th, KUKA Toledo Production will cut 160 jobs also by the fifth, and PPC Flexible Packaging LLC will let go of 68 people by January third.
