“A food truck owner walks into a pumpkin-carving contest.”

This is, in fact, not the beginning of a joke, it’s an accurate description of one Columbus man’s journey to the pinnacle of the pumpkin carving world.

Grove City resident Brian “Tator” Edwards will appear on season 5 of the Food Network series “Outrageous Pumpkins.” The show will premiere on Sept. 29 at 10 p.m. He also appeared in season 3 of the series.

“Tune in and watch your boy Tator and some of his dear friends and amazing artists cut it up for that grand prize,” Edwards wrote on his Instagram. “I haven’t cut it up in a bit so I gotta get goin!”

Edwards is also the co-owner of EdArm Food Truck Solutions, alongside Glynis and Tyler Armentrout. The group operates several trucks, including the Naughty Lobstah, Sweet Tooth Ice Cream and the Forking Perogi.

Glynis Armentrout told 614Now her and Tyler are excited to watch Edwards compete later this month.

“What I like best is that the ‘character’ he is on TV is the same Tator we get in real life,” she said. “He’s goofy, full of love, fiery and incredibly talented. He has a loyal following, as he is a friend to everyone he meets.”
