Following double homicide, Columbus nightclub closing for a week to assist police investigation

A Columbus Nightclub will remain closed for the next several days, following a double homicide that occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In a statement posted to the Facebook page of Noir Lounge, the club announced that it plans to close this week as the business assists the ongoing police investigation into the incident. It did note when it plans to reopen.

According to a Columbus Police report, two people were killed in a shooting outside of Noir Lounge at 1:16 a.m. on Feb. 5. Noir Lounge is located on the first floor of 15 W. Cherry St.

At the time this story was published, no one had been arrested for the shooting. Shell casings were found at the scene, but no additional information about the incident were available.
