Multiple people shot inside Italian Village pizzeria

Late last week, multiple people were shot after an incident that occurred inside of an Italian Village pizzeria.

According to Columbus Police records, officers responded to Del Baggio Pizzeria–which is located at 127 E. 5th St.– just after 3:15 a.m. on Sept.27, where they found four people injured following a shooting.

Police records show that two individuals, who were not named, suffered gunshot wounds to their backs. They were both transported to the Ohio State University Hospital in stable condition. Two other people were also injured (although their injuries were not disclosed), both of whom transported themselves to the hospital.

It’s unclear what caused the shooting.

According to Franklin County Municipal Court records, 32 year-old Willie Stephens was arrested yesterday and charged with three counts of felonious assault. Stephens will have a preliminary hearing on Oct. 11.
